About This Theatre

We were founded in 1956 by a local group of actors and enthusiasts who performed in Village and Church Halls . In 1971 the Shinfield Players purchased its current home at an auction held by the Ministry of Defence, when the Royal Air Force left the site to make way for the Met. College. The building had originally been a NAAFI , known as the Eagle Club.
It has been developed over the years into a fully equipped and progressive venue for the dramatic arts.

Committee

In order to keep the theatre running efficiently and effectively we have a committee which decides everything to do with the well being of the society. This group of people meet once a month to discuss such things as what shows we do, maintenance required on the building, and who hires the theatre.
